Sonakshi Sinha agress to play Mandakini in ‘OUATIM 2′

Actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to essay the role of a gangster's moll in the sequel to 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai', opposite Akshay Kumar.

"Its official! @sonakshisinha is part of one of the films I'm looking forward to watching the most. ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI..AGAIN," said Sonakshi Sinha's brother, Luv on Twitter.

After playing similar characters in Dabangg and upcoming films Rowdy Rathore and Joker she will work opposite Akshay kumar one again. In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, Akshay Kumar will play an underworld don Shoaib and Sonakshi will be featured as Mandakini who falls in love with Shohaib. The film will also star Imran Khan who will play Akshay's rival.

Earlier it was suggested Sonakshi was not sure about playing Akshay kumar's girlfriend because of the bold scenes involved however the directors have decided to edit the scenes and Sonakshi is happy with the new decision.

Reportedly, earlier Kareena Kapoor and Kangana Ranuat were approached for this role. This is Sonakshi's third outing with Akshay. She has teamed up with the 'Khiladi' in Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' and Prabhu Deva's 'Rowdy Rathore'. Both the films are slated to release this year.

The sequel to 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai' stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi and Imran Khan in lead roles and will be directed by Milan Luthria. Akshay will be playing Shoaib, a character modelled on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the movie.-CMC
