Devgns to party in Patiala

Kajol is taking the entire Devgn family to Patiala this weekend for Navratra and for husband Ajay’s birthday celebrations
Navratra has traditionally been considered an important festival in the Devgn and Mukerji families. But this time, Ajay is shooting for his upcoming production venture in Patiala.

Family time beckons, and Kajol and Ajay’s family will be taking off to Patiala to celebrate Ashtami with the actor. And that’s not all. They will also be celebrating his 43rd birthday on location too.

A source close to the Devgns and Mukerjis tells us that both the families follow the Navratra rituals religiously. “This time, Ajay’s busy in Patiala, shooting for a film.

Since he has not been around at home for the festival, his parents, sisters and their kids and Kajol, along with their children, Nysa and Yug, are going to Patiala on Saturday morning, ” said our source, adding that they’ll celebrate Ashtami later in the evening.

Temple time

He adds, “There’s a Devi temple close to the hotel in Patiala where Ajay is staying. So after wrapping up the shoot, he will go there along with Kajol and their family.

Of course, they will be offering prayers and prasad at the temple. Later, they will dine together in the actors’ hotel suite.”

The weekend will be reason for double celebration in the Devgn household. On Sunday, Ajay will bring in his birthday. However, he won’t be cutting a cake.

Our source tells us, “For many years, Ajay has stopped cutting cakes. In the recent years, Nysa has been cutting his birthday cakes. She’s very excited about her papa’s birthday. This time, Yug, who’s one and a half-year-old now, will join her in cake cutting.”

The team spirit

The junior Devgns will be cutting another cake on Monday as well. “This one is more for the crew members, most of whom have worked with Ajay in previous films.

Besides, as a producer, Ajay ensures that team spirit is maintained, as filmmaking is a team effort. Such gestures convey that from his end, ” informs our source, adding that Monday will see another family get-together for dinner.

Victoria Beckham pleased to see Priyanka wearing her outfit

Looks like style diva Victoria Beckham keeps a track of the celebrities who wear her designs.

No wonder she was pleased to see pictures of Priyanka Chopra in a white dress designed by her, on a social networking site.

PC wore her creation at one of her brand endorsement events recently.

Victoria posted “Lovely in white”, to which the star graciously replied with “Thank u. Love ur stuff.”

Politically correct Katrina Kaif !

At a recent book launch Katrina Kaif and director Prakash Jha were bombarded with questions pertaining to politics. Katrina in particular was asked whether she felt that there was politics in Bollywood.

She took her time and warded off controversy by saying, “I don’t see anyone playing games. Everyone’s here to work.”

Jha was sharper when he said, “I’m just a student of politics.” before reverting to “Maybe this discussion should stick with the book!”
