The Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to make his appearance in Kollywood. The actor, who is already signed to do in Tamil director K.S Ravikumar's Hindi film, will soon seen on Kollywood screens.

The cinematographer turn director Ravi K. Chandran is looking to cast Sanjay Dutt as baddie in his debut directorial film, which has Jeeva in the lead role. It was produced by Elred Kumar under the banner of RS Infotainment. 

The producer of the film Elred Kumar confirmed the news and said that "We have a strong character in the script, someone who is pivotal to story, and Sanjay will be the right person to play the role. We are in talks with him and I will be going to Mumbai soon to finalize the deal."

Karthi and Pranitha starrer 'Saguni' which is directed by a debutant N. Shankar Dayal had seen a big let down in the second weekend at the overseas.

In the UK box office the film has approximately collected Rs. 816,589 (£ 9,504) on 9 screens in the second weekend. In the previous weekend 'Saguni' has collected Rs. 4,500,101 (£50,346) on 12 screens. Average working out per screen Rs. 90,732 (£ 1,056) and in the UK box office 'Saguni' has totally collected Rs. 6,842,372(£ 79,636) in 10 days.

In second weekend the film has collected Rs. 567,230 ($ 10,349) (few screens are yet to be reported) on 19 screens in the U.S box office.  In the first weekend the film has collected Rs. 5,078,146 ($ 88,748) on 20 screens. Average working out per screen Rs. 29,871 ($ 545) and 'Saguni' has totally collected Rs. 5,816,240 ($1,06,116) in 10 days at US box office.

Meanwhile the Telugu version Shakuni has collected Rs. 129,132 ($2,356) on 6 screens in the 2nd weekend at the US box office. Average working out per screen Rs. 21,540 ($393) and Shakuni has totally collected Rs. 516,476 ($9,423 ) in 10 days.

Filmmaker Anurag Basu says his forthcoming movie 'Barfi', which got dealyed for several reasons, may have disabled characters in lead but it is not a "silent film" neither the theme is "dark" or "grim".

"I never wanted to make a silent film or something. I wanted to make a film with an easy story that people understand. There are few dialogues in the film, and this is its speciality. I had such nice actors who could convey so much without saying anything," he said.

Basu feels people will get answer to their questions when the film will hit theaters September 14.

"The entire film is a happy film. When everyone told me that I was making a grey film, I kept quiet because I knew I was making a film which was happy and commercial. This is people's perception that when you make a film with different characters, the film is dark and grim. I am waiting for the film to come and answer your questions," he added.

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing a fun loving deaf-mute boy, while Priyanka Chopra features as an autistic girl and "Barfi" also marks Telugu actress Ileana D'Cruz foray into Bollywood.

The trailer is more focused on Ranbir, and a few glimpses of Priyanka. Explaining this, Basu said: "This is the first trailer we have made. As we need to do so many promotions, so I wanted to tell the story slowly. I didn't want to reveal everything in the first trailer."

"Barfi" is co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapoor.

Why is the film coming out so late?

"There were many reasons to push release date. My one schedule in September (last year) got cancelled. Re-shooting that schedule took time. Other than that, even Ronnie (Ronnie Screwvala) thought this was the right day for 'Barfi'. I also told him that I will be ready with the film post August 15, so they decided this date," he said.

Nagarjuna starrer 'Shirdi Sai' which is directed by K.Raghavendra Rao audio released date and film release date has been announced officially.

Currently the post-production works of the film is in full swing and the makers have met the press on Guru Pournami Day (July 3).

Earlier 'Shirdi Sai' audio launch will planned to released on August 2nd, but the according to the latest news the audio launch has been  preponed on July 30th. The movie is about the life of Lord Sai Baba.

M.M Keeravani is scoring music foe the film. It was produced by A. Mahesh Reddy. 'Shirdi Sai' will be hit the screens on September 6, 2012.
