The director Ameer who is currently busy in his upcoming directional movie 'Aadhi Bhagavan' which has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in lead roles is now all set to start his next film.

Ameer Sultan's next film has been titled as 'Jihad' and Ameer is playing the lead role, besides he is directing the film. 'Jihad' will be kick-start once the director-actor Ameer completes his 'Aadhi Bhagavan'.

Soon the maker of the film will be come up with official announcement about the cast and crew of the film.

The actress Priyanka Chopra, who has been endorsing various technological projects including Nokia and Nikon, loves technology and tries to own the latest gadget in the market.

"I love technology. I consider myself geek's fantasy. Any new gadget in the market, I need to have one," Priyanka, the brand ambassador for Digital Direct Broadcast (DDB) technology, told reporters at a press conference here Monday.

Describing DDB, she said: "This DDB is so simple it's like a file. It's like a folder where I can put all my memories in one. All information is digitalized and comes in one TV."

"It was impossible for me not to be associated with this. Everything is digitalized today, it has become easy. It is one gadget which has everything. It is part of progressive evolution of technology."

As far as films are concerned, after the blockbuster "Agneepath", the 29-year-old will be see in romantic saga "Teri Meri Kahaani" that travels three time-zones. Directed by Kunal Kohli, the film is coming out June 22.

Akshay thanks fans for Rowdy Rathore success

The actor Akshay Kumar has thanked his fans for giving "Rowdy Rathore" the biggest solo opening of his career.

"I owe a HUGE thank you to my audience! You are the only reason behind the biggest opening weekend of my career! Love Rowdy," Akshay tweeted.

The film, directed by Prabhu Deva, is Akshay's widest release so far - it opened on 2,800 screens in the country.

Made on a budget of Rs.45 crore, the film released Friday and earned Rs.29.8 crore on the first two days.

Co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala, the film marked Akshay's return to a full-fledged action role after seven years.
