Impressed as a Kid
The other day I was reminded of something I thought was so cool as a kid that I first saw at a friend's house: an ice dispenser in their fridge door. Wow, I thought, these folks have made it. Another friend had swinging saloon doors in the laundry room that we loved to kick open and work into our imaginary play. Finally, the envy of every kid I knew - the pinball machine in Jenny Donlon's basement.

When designing this nursery for our first baby, my husband and I agreed that we wanted it to be a happy space that would be stimulating for our son, grow with him, and be a room in which we could spend hours playing with him.

10 Bath Toys
Variety is the spice of bath time. I remember years ago having a terrible time finding decent-looking bath toys that we could all agree on. As with so many things in the children's industry, design has come a long way in this regard. We've found a whole slew of toys that are not only lovely, but actually look truly fun
