Singer Katy Perry has reportedly recorded a special song for third installment of animated film "Madagascar".

"Katy just recently recorded a special number for 'Madagascar 3′. The song is upbeat and will be used for the climax sequence of the film," said a source.

The 3D movie titled "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" was premiered at ongoing 65th Cannes International Film Festival. It will release worldwide June 8.

Actress Megan Fox is reportedly pregnant with a baby girl.

The 25-year-old is expecting her first child with husband Brian Austin Green.

"She's been helping to raise Brian's 10-year-old son Kassius for years, and now she'll have the experience of being mommy to a little girl," showbizspy.com quoted a source as saying.

"Obviously, Megan and Brian would be happy with a healthy baby of either gender, but they're beyond thrilled that Kassius is going to have a little sister.

"She'll be due at the very end of September or the first week in October. Megan is attached to a movie called 'Swindle', but it's in rewrites and probably won't even begin filming until next year. So right now her plate is totally clean, and she can devote herself to her baby," she added.

Science fiction and humour can be a potent mix. Imagine having almost an endless array of things to play gags with. In such a scenario, one is limited only by one's imagination.

While the last outing of "Men in Black" wasn't a patch on the original, this part manages to get the fun and humour of the series right back and tops it up with the right dosage of sentiment, sprinkled just at the right time.

Though it does not trek unchartered territories, choosing to stay in its now familiar universe, it works up a fun film.

Agent J (Will Smith) is always busy either trying to make his partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) smile or wondering the reason for his seriousness.

After Boris The Animal (Jemaine Clement) escapes from a prison, goes back in time, kills agent K and unleashes destruction that will end the world, J too has to travel back in time, team up with the young K (Josh Brolin) and try to save the world.

What he does not know is how this is as much about saving the world and K, as it is about him.

The strength of film, despite the obvious and a very linear plot, is that it manages to include the idea of a popular science fiction film and mesh it up into a convincing film.

Thus, it has a tug-of-war between our heroes, shows the earth at great risk, throws in some cool gadgets, a dangerous extra-terrestrial villain while managing to add an extra spice: a good dose of emotional engagement right at the climax of the film.

The characters are also memorable. Josh Brolin as a fun, younger version of Tommy Lee Jones does well. The villain is ugly and deadly and inspires fear in the viewers.

Yet, what takes the cake is the ending.

You have the actual climax of cool and intelligent action demonstrated by our man in black. But beyond this, the film relies on another climax, an emotional one that rounds up the story and missing explanations (for example, how did he remember the time before time was changed) and sets you off smiling from the theatre.

Will Smith does well to keep the humour going. He is as at ease with Tommy Lee Jones as he is with Josh Brolin. Together, the trio make it a worthwhile watch for lovers of both comedy and science fiction films making this outing a film not to be missed by fans of either.

Verdict : Funny with right emotional tinge

Actor Will Smith admits his two kids understand the fame game better than him.

"Do I worry about Willow and Jaden? No, they were born into that world. They're on the internet all the time, so they know the game. They know where to go, what to say. They're far more savvy," showbizspy.com quoted Smith as saying.

The actor has two kids — Jaden, 13, and 11-year-old Willow — with wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Smith feels his well-guarded kids might suffer with things that will hurt their self-esteem in the future.

"Of course, there are going to be things that are hurtful and self-esteem issues, like we all have, but I grew up in a neighbourhood, where I saw a guy get shot and take nine bullets to the chest, so Hollywood is a far safer experience than where I grew up," he said.

The 43-year-old has been spending more time at home recently as he has been working in the production department rather than in front of the camera. He admits his family is ready to see him back at work.

"Willow's doing her music and whipping her hair, Jaden's got a TV show. And daddy's been sort of producing at home. But everyone's really ready for daddy to go back to work now," he said.

Actress Preity Zinta is on a hunt for a young girl with a dimpled right cheek to play junior Preity in her debut production "Ishqk In Paris".

"My casting agents are looking for a four to seven-year-old girl who has one dimple on her right cheek and can play a younger me for my film. So difficult to find a little girl who looks like me thanx to the dimple on my right cheek! Uff! Going crazy with that casting! Grrrrrrr," tweeted the actress.

She has asked her Twitter followers to help her team with the task.

The actress Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra Friday took their newborn son home from the Hinduja Hospital here.

Shilpa, who delivered the baby boy Monday morning, looked casual and fresh as she walked out of the hospital around 12:30 p.m. She was accompanied by Kundra, who held the well-covered baby closely.

The 36-year-old was wearing a buttoned-down blue and black coloured tunic with leggings, while her husband was seen in a blue shirt with denim.

Shilpa looked healthy and happy and thanked the media for being there. She even blew a flying kiss, but refused to pose for shutterbugs when the media asked her to hold her first child.

The newborn is yet to get a name. It will be decided once his maternal grandmother, Sunanda Shetty decides an alphabet.

Shilpa and Kundra tied the knot in 2009. This is Kundra's second child - he has a daughter Deleena from ex-wife Kavita.
