Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Ishqzaade' had very good first week at the box office.


After the fantastic opening weekend the film has managed to maintain exceedingly well over the weekdays.  The best collection figures are came from Delhi/UP. CP/CI and Rajasthan also the film did very well in the first week.

Prabhu Deva wants to direct horror movie

After directing two action movies for Bollywood - "Wanted" and forthocming action film "Rowdy Rathore" - Prabhu Deva would now wants to make scary movies.

"More than me, people want me to do action films only. Everybody tells me to do action films. But I would love to do horror films," he told.

A well-established choreographer and actor in the southern film industry and a successful director in Bollywood, the 39-year-old likes both the places and says that it's the team that is more important than anyting else.

"South or here, anywhere it is ok until the team is good. The team must be good. We can even do a Spanish film as long as the team is good," he said.

He hit the bull's eye in Bollywood with Salman Khan-Ayesha Takia starrer Hindi movie "Wanted". Now he is coming out with "Rowdy Rathore", which has Akshay kumar and Sonakshi Sinha as the lead pair.

It is an out-and-out action movie and Prabhu Deva felt that Akshay suited the role perfectly.

"I selected Akshay because the character is tailormade for him, you will see. It happens to be an action film and he is very good at it. It's great to work with him and he is a director's delight," said the director.

"Rowdy Rathore" is releasing June 1.

Talking about Sonakshi, he said: "Sonakshi is doing her second film, but it doesn't seem that this is her second film, it seems that this is her 25th film - she is so professional and so good. Both Akshay and Sonakshi dance well. This is a bonus. Not only fight, dance is also there in the film," he said.

Abhishek’s double dhamaal in Bol Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in his first double role in "Bol Bachchan", a comedy said to be inspired by 1979 classic "Golmaal".

The first poster of the Rohit Shetty directed movie, features Abhishek in two different looks - one features the actor in a confident, macho and moustached look, and the other sees him in a more metrosexual look with a magenta floral shirt and a net vest.

The poster serves the purpose - the mannerisms of both the characters look distinct.

In the middle of the poster sits Ajay Devgn, wearing a black Pathani suit and yellow shades.

The poster is bright and colourful, and depicts that the movie will be an action-packed, fun-filled affair.

Presented by Fox Star Studios, and co-produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Shree Ashtavinayak LFS Infra Ltd., the movie also features Asin Thottumkal, Prachi Desai, Krushna Abhishek, Neeraj Vora, Asrani and Archana Puran Singh.

Cuban-American rapper Pitbull was named as one of three pop songwriters of the year at the BMI Pop Music Awards, handed out each year by US performing rights organization Broadcast Music Inc.

Pitbull shared the honour with American songwriter and producer Benny Blanco and American singer-songwriter Ester Dean, while "Firework" (co-written by Dean and Sandy Vee) was designated the pop song of the year, a press release said Wednesday.

The 60th edition of the BMI Pop Awards took place Tuesday night at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Pitbull was recognized for five songs on the most-performed list: "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love", "Give Me Everything", "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)", "I Like It" and "On the Floor".

On March 30, Pitbull was awarded the coveted BMI President's Award for his influence in the world of entertainment.

In that same awards ceremony, he was named co-winner of the BMI Latin Songwriter of the Year prize along with Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel.
