Perhaps it's all the Little House on the Prairie episodes I've watched, but it's hard not to get a little swept up by romantic notions of keeping chickens. (Not to mention delicious notions of fresh eggs.) No longer just for country living, more and more urbanites are engaging in backyard chicken farming. Is it all it's cracked up to be? We chatted with Angeleno Irwin Miller, father of three boys and, now, three chickens to get one family's first-hand account of life with chickens. |

| | Name: Bryson (1) Location: Boone, NC I couldn't wait to outfit a room for Bryson — for the first six months of his life we were in a small apartment and he had to sleep in a Pack & Play in the master bedroom. When we moved, we purchased a crib for him and began to decorate his room. | |

| | I recently stumbled upon an incredible room built from the studs up for four young girls. The parents actually decided to take a wall down in order to make one space for all the sisters. A mammoth project - all was accomplished in just ten days. | |

| | I have a stack of melamine plates at home for my son, but they're nowhere as cute as these by Swedish designer Ingela P. Arrhenius. I love that these are playful and bright, but not sappy. | |
