Irked by the reports in certain sections of the media claiming that she married her long time boyfriend-musician Mandolin Rajesh recently, actress Meera Jasmine’s close friend said that she has no need to marry secretly. “There is no need for Meera to have a secret wedding. Rajesh doesn’t want that either. When they tie the knot, they will announce it openly and it won’t be a secret,” the friend said, adding “she feels bad that the media often carries false reports about her without checking the facts. Her marriage will take place with blessing of elders from both the families.” Filmography During a school event Meera Jasmine Lohithadas met through the Director Blessy and landed her first film Soothradharan Malayalam (2001). The movie is not good, but the doors open for more opportunities.She played a Jewish girl in Gramaphone. It was Kasthoorimann driven her career forward. She won Filmfare Award. She also won the National Film Award for Best Actress for Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam, where she played a young Muslim girl who is forced to marry an older man.She gave some remarkable performances in films like Perumazhakallam, Achuvinte Amma, Rasathanthram Kadal and ore.She also acted in Tamil films Run and Bala.
