I've been working hard on the "back 40" of our place out in the country - a garden about twenty yards from the house that I'm slowly making into a destination and a series of outdoor rooms where you can hang out all evening under the summer stars. This Saturday, my friend Chris and I put up the garden yurt, which had been waiting under tarps since last August. Part studio, part guest bedroom, the inspiration here was to plug the round yurt into the rectangular garden to create a private and Eden-like retreat space for Ursula and her grandmother or weekend guests. |

| | | Name: Rodellee Bas - Adore Vintage Location: Los Angeles, California Rodellee moved into her downtown workspace just a couple months ago, as she's expanded the audience of her online vintage shop. She's taken over this wonderful loft space, adding gorgeous nostalgic accessories and vintage furniture to a room already blessed with the most incredible windows full of natural light. | |

| | | Maya Donenfeld of Maya*Made should be no stranger to Apartment Therapy readers, as we've chatted with her and written about many of her projects here over the years. We're helping celebrate the release of her book, Reinvention: Sewing with Rescued Materials, with a tutorial from Maya that's not in the book (bonus for you!), but very much in the spirit of the book. | |
