Who can make it through all 19 of these heartbreakers with nary a tear? Only someone without a soul. “That first video should’ve been batting clean-up instead of lead-off,” one Reddit user said. Challenge accepted.

Thinspo Debate of the Day

 - Thinspo Debate of the Day

Model and “it girl” Alexa Chung defended herself to the Instagram community Monday after fans protested a pic of her spindly stems and compared her to “thinspo.”

“Hi, I am here. I can read. Ok everyone thanks for the teen angst discussions. People are different sizes. I’m not trying to be thinspo for anyone (sic). I am now making this acct private. Byyyyyeeee.”

Tumblr and Pinterest have recently attempted to crack down on thinspo posts; here’s hoping this little round of negative publicity prompts Instagram to follow suit.

Disturbing Trend of the Day

In a last-gasp attempt to fit into the THE DRESS, desperate brides-to-be in the U.S. (like Jessica Schnaider, pictured) can now have a feeding tube inserted into their nose that provides a drip of liquid protein and fat (with no carbohydrates) through the esophagus into the stomach. The $1,500, 10-day treatment is effective: The tube delivers just 800 calories a day, and generally results in the loss of at least 10 percent of body weight — and perfect wedding pictures. But… ew?

Nearly a year after this photo of a dog fight purportedly sponsored by Heineken surfaced — prompting online petitions and a slew of recent complaints on the company’s Facebook page — Heineken is denying any involvement.

“Images are circulating on a number of websites showing what appears to be an illegal dogfight with Heineken banners (placed upside down) clearly visible. HEINEKEN is shocked and disappointed by this image. HEINEKEN is not and would never knowingly be associated with illegal activities, including those involving cruelty to animals. This is a gross misrepresentation of our brand and our legal team is now investigating the source of the picture and will take the necessary measures. We ask anyone with information regarding this picture such as the source, or the venue where it has been taken to contact us.”

Good thing Heineken pointed out the upside-down banners…

A new PSA by the Flemish League Alzheimer’s Association relentlessly mocks sufferers of the disease in a direct plea for funding. Effective but icky.

Mohammad Ashan, a mid-level Taliban commander, is suspected of plotting at least two attacks on Afghan security forces, so officials plastered hundreds of posters emblazoned with the insurgent’s name and likeness around the district of Sar Howza. When Ashan took notice of the $100 finder’s fee, he snatched a poster and marched into a police checkpoint, looking to collect. Instead, he was arrested on the spot.

“This guy is the Taliban equivalent of the ‘Home Alone” burglars,” one U.S. official said.

Kickass Kid of the Day

Elaborate planning by the Arlington Police and Fire departments and Texas-based nonprofit a Wish with Wings allowed 7-year-old cancer patient Kye to see his wish come true: He spent Saturday fighting crime around the city as Batman. Kye, who suffers from leukemia, foiled an attempted bank robbery by the Joker and a bomb scare at City Hall engineered by the Riddler.

Don’t miss the pics.

Hockey Hecklers of the Day

Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas must have known that in his return to D.C. for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, Capitals fans wouldn’t let him forget his infamous refusal — for political reasons — to attend a White House celebration honoring the team’s Stanley Cup win. Naturally, Thomas was greeted by giant Obama heads and posters in every direction.

“What did Wayne Gretzky say? You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. This was too much of an opportunity to pass up,” said fan Mike Holden. “We had Timmy coming to town, and he wants this issue to go away, and we figured we’d put it right in his face.”
