After Anushka (Vedam), it's now Charmi's turn to play a sex worker. According to sources, Charmi will play the bold role of a prostitute in Notebook and 10th Class fame Chandu's new film which will go on the floors soon!

Confirming the news, Charmi said: "Although I essay the role of a high-profile sex worker, the film will not have any sleazy scenes as it's on a different and aesthetic scale." She said that she accepted the role as it was a love story and not a down market B-grade film.

"Actually, it's a touching love story between a blind singer and a call girl and how she supports and guides him to success. The love story will showcase my brighter side and I'll interpret the role in my own way to raise the bar on such roles" she added.

Soutindian actress Nayantara was recently awarded the ‘Best Actress’ at the 14th Ugadi Puraskar for her wonderful performance as goddess Sita in Sriramarajyam. The award ceremony took place in Chennai and pretty lass was seen in a tradition red sareee at the event.

Other awards went to Nandamuri Balakrishna (best actor), Ilaiyaraaja (best music), S P Balasubramaniam and Chitra (best playback singer) for Sriramarajyam, Prakash Raj (best villain for Usaravelli), Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah (special jury award for 100 % Love), Aadi (best debut actor for Prema Kavali) and Shruti Haasan (best debut actress for O My Friend).
