Karthi's much awaited film Saguni is complete and postproduction work is going on at a brisk pace.

The movie features Pranitha alongside of Karthi and is directed by debutant Shankar Dayal.

An ensemble cast of Radhika Sarathkumar, Santhanam, Nasser, Mumtaz and Sali Ghouse form the supporting cast.

Now tinsel town sources say that Salim Ghouse, who was once popular in K'town as a baddie, has been unceremoniously replaced by Prakash Raj.

Salim is an actor to reckon with in Bollywood. It is learnt that Karthi's family including dad Sivakumar, brother Suriya and cousin Gnanavel Raja, recently watched the double positive of Saguni and were rather upset with Salim's portions.

Reportedly, everyone felt that the episodes featuring Salim and Karthi were lacking the necessary force – largely due to Salim's lackluster performance. In a quick damage control measure, they opted for Prakash Raj instead of Salim.

One hears that the unit will be re-shooting some portions of the film with Prakash Raj in Hyderabad. When Dayal was contacted by DC, he admitted that they had replaced Salim Ghouse with Prakash Raj. "We are shooting new portions with Karthi and Prakash Raj for five days in Hyderabad," he confirmed.

Vikram’s upcoming movie Thaandavam directed by Thaandavam will be a mass entertainer.The film will be completely different from the duo’s earlier flick Deiva Thiirumagal.

Vikram will play the role of Siva and Santhanam will play a prominent role. Anushka and Amy Jackson are the leading ladies. Telugu star Jagpathi Babu will also play a prominent role in this bilingual.The film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and music composed by GV Prakash Kumar

Priyamani’s next is Charulatha

Southindian hot actress Priyamani is all set to do a woman-oriented film titled Charulatha. The movie is expected to commence its shoot from March 23.

The movie directed by Vishnuvardhana fame V. Kumar and produced by Dwarakish while his son Yogish is the executive producer

Dwarakish produces Charulatha, while his son Yogish is the executive producer. Only Vishnuvardhana fame V. Kumar directs the movie.
On confirming Priyamani as the lead in Charulatha, Yogish said, “Priyamani is working with me again for a woman-oriented film. She is currently in Spain and will be signing the agreement after her return."

Recently, Priyamani at Spain, shooting for the Puneeth starrer Anna Bond in Spain.
