Confirming that noted producer Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu dubbing rights, he further said: "We were not happy with some earlier producers, so we thought of teaming up with producer Bellamkonda Suresh to promote this big ticket entertainer in Andhra Pradesh.” Starring Kajal Aggarwal as the heroine, the film is directed and co-written by K.V. Anand. Suriya handles five different roles in this film. The music is composed by Harris Jayaraj and editing is by Anthony Gonsalvez. The film is in the final stages of production and will be released in both Telugu and Tamil this summer. |
Murugudos Forcing Kajal Agarwal to Act Semi-Nude ? Posted: 04 Mar 2012 03:15 AM PST As we already know that Kajal Agarwal is in the film Thuppaki direction of AR Murugudoss. Vijay is the main lead in it. It is being gossiped that Murugudoss forced Kajal to do a semi nude act as per the script demand but the actress denied the idea. On the other hand Kajal's mother Vinay Agarwal also said that Murgudoss very well knows about her daughter who can never pose semi nude in front of camera. Well, it is known that Kajal quashed her semi nude pics on a national magazine cover page as morphed ones a few weeks ago. She locked her lips with Mahesh Babu in Businessman but she is no way ready to pose semi nude for a Tamil film beside dark hero Vijay. The film is ready to release in April-May.It is sad that Kajal did a photo shoot with Vijay and that holds no hot value or reasonable skin show. That's Kajal for you folks. |
Posted: 04 Mar 2012 03:08 AM PST Aravaan movie Cast & Crew Cast Aadhi as Varipuli Every since it’s launch, Vasanthabalan’s Aravan has been rated as one of the most awaited film in Kollywood. Fresh from the success of Angadi Theru, Vasanthabalan started shooting for Aravan in April 2010. But due to financial crisis and other technical problems it took almost two years for the film to see the light. The film is based on one chapter from Su. Venkatesan’s novel Kaaval Kottam, which depicts the history of Madurai during 1310-1910. During earlier days every villages used to have their own security guards called as Aravan. They are named after the son of Arjuna, who sacrificed himself before Goddess Kali for the victory of the Pandavas in the Kurukshetra war in Mahabharata. And Vasanthabalan’s story revolves around one such Aravan. The film also has a huge starcast which includes Aadhi, Pasupathy, Dhaniska, Archana Kavi, Karikaalan and Singampuli. Bharath, Anjali and Shweta Menon has also made a special appearance in this historic flick. The movie is produced by T. Siva under the banner of Amma Creations. The technical team includes Siddharth (camera) Praveen-Srikanth (editing) and Vijay Murugan (art direction). Another major highlight of Aravan is its music composed by singer Karthik! Set in the mid 14th century the film narrates the story of Aravans in Kotayur, Tamil Nadu. Kombodhi (Pasupathy) is the leader of Kombadi Koothu, a group of thieves who steals money and gold for their village people who awaits for their arrival. Interestingly Kombodhi and his men also has certain rules and regulations which they strictly follow. At this point guards from a neighbouring village attacks Kotayur! Reason? The queen’s precious necklace has been stolen by someone who is believed to be from Katoyur. Finally the queen’s men makes a deal with the village people; if they give back the necklace they will be awarded with 100 bags of rice. Obiviously Kombodhi and his men starts their mission. On the way they find out that the culprit is Varipuli (Aadhi), an orphan who can complete any big mission single-handedly. Impessed by his skills Kombodhi brings Varipuli to his village and also returns the necklace to the kingdom. Within few days Varipuli develops a great bonding with Kombodhi and his men meanwhile Chimtti (Archana Kavi) develops a liking for Varipuli. When Kombodhi takes his sister’s proposal to Varipuli, he reveals that he is already married! Meanwhile a group of men attacks Varipuli and takes him. So who exactly is Varipuli? Watch out in Aravan! THE PERFOMANCE AND TECHNIQUES Rugged look and dark makeup is nothing new to Aadhi and as usual he excels in Aravan too. Every since his debut Aadhi has been mastering the art with every film that he does. His body language, physique and dialogue delivery skills are perfect for a 14th century warrior. It is also said that the actor has developed an eight-pack specially for this film; the hard work reflects clearly on screen. Another major character in Aravan is Pasupathy who plays a meaty role in the film. There is no doubt that Pasupathy is a seasoned and one of the best actors in the industry today. In this film he has also tried his hands on dancing. Archana Kavi is sensual, Dhansika is perfect for the role while Singampuli is hilarious. Bharath, Anjali and Shweta Menon have done their parts well too. The main highlight of the film is there are no unwanted characters; kudos to Vasanthabalan for a making such an intense drama which no other filmmaker could even dare to attempt. The dry and rustic locales are well captured by cinematographer Siddharth; Singer Karthik who is making his debut as music director is impressive and his background scores are perfect for the story. Praveen-Srikanth’s editing works and Vijay Murugan’s art direction needs a special mention too. Overall if you are fed up of regular commercial drama, Aravan is a perfect watch for this weekend! |
