Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie Review Posted: 19 Feb 2012 07:29 AM PST Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Tamil Movie Review, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie Review, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Review, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie rating, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie verdict, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie story, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal Movie climax, Cast: Atharva Murali, Amala Paul, Nasser, Anupama, Jayaprakash, Santhanam Director: Elred Kumar Producer: Elred Kumar Music: G.V. Prakash Kumar Rating: 2/5 The movie opens with an unbelievable action sequence before going into the mode of a sweet love story. Beginning is good but the film looses its grip as it moves ahead. There are some twists and unexpected turns but they are not good enough to engage the viewers. After some ups and downs the film sounds predictable and disappoints. Ram (Atharva) is an IT engineer in Chennai. He spends his weekends with his girlfriend Charu (Amala) in Bangalore. They share a unique bonding. Now, Lata (Amala), the new CEO of Ram's company, returns from the US. With her marriage set to happen in a couple of weeks, she meets Ram and gets the shock of her life. She claims that she knows him well, but Ram treats her like a stranger. Lata is confused. She says it was she who stayed with him in Bangalore without revealing that she was the daughter of the CEO. She had to depart all of a sudden without informing Ram, but she cannot understand why Ram is unable to recognise her. An accident to the car carrying Ram and Lata solves the mystery. Physiatrist (Jayaprakash) finds out that Ram is affected by 'motivational delusion'. He imagines Charu lives with him in Bangalore while there is no such person in reality. Lata, who is about to get married soon, wants to help Ram. She starts enquiring about his background. She finds out that he had disturbed past after his mother's death. Charu coems as a fresh air in his life and he falls madly in love with her. Her sudden departure makes a deep impact on him and he starts living in an imaginary world with Charu. Lata feels sorry for him but she cannot do anything about it, as she has to return to the US to get married to the person, whom she is engaged to. But a few twists in the tale force her to change her plans. MUK, produced and directed by Elrid Kumar, has been shot lavishly in exotic locales abroad. Sadly, Kumar, while focusing on such things, seems to have lost the grip on the script, which lacks logic or coherence. The director has got many things wrong. The depiction of software professionals and romance track lacks credibility. The events move ahead in a hurried manner towards the climax. The suspense is completely missing. The physiological angle has been handled indifferently. The lead actors have given their best. Atharva Murali has shown a great improvement in his second film. He scores in romantic and serious sequences. Amala gets a meaty character and does justice to it. She looks fine and emotes well. Jayaprakash and Nasser do their jobs well. Santhanam fails to impress. Anupama in a small role is quite effective. Cinematography by Sakthi is good. G.V.Prakash has given some peppy music besides effective background score. Verdict: Rich in looks poor in content ![]()

Posted: 19 Feb 2012 05:19 AM PST Nippu Telugu Movie Review, Nippu Movie Review, Nippu Review, Nippu Movie Rating, Nippu Movie verdict, Nippu Movie story, Nippu Movie climax, Cast: Ravi Teja, Deeksha Seth, Rajendra Prasad, Pradeep Rawant Director: Gunashekar Producer: YVS Choudary Music: Thaman S Rating: 2/5 Ravi Teja's films are neither pretentious nor have any semblance of a convincing story line to reveal. They are just mass entertainers. And he is the sole strength of all his films as he can excel in dialogue delivery, dance and fight scenes. But lately his formula has not been appealing to the audiences. "Nippu" is one more addition to the list of mediocre films from Ravi Teja. The only redeeming feature is the brilliant comic timing between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam. Much was expected from "Nippu" as two prominent directors of the Telugu film industry, Gunashekhar and Y.V.S. Chowdhary who were once the actor's roommates in his struggling days, had worked as a director and producer of the film. But "Nippu' fails to appeal as it does not have a good script. It is surprising that Gunashekhar, who did some brilliant film like "Okkudu", could write a meaningless, weak script like "Nippu". The narration in the first half is too boring, the film generates interest in the second half only to nose-dive in the climax. In a way "Nippu" is a clear letdown. In the film, Sruya has a good friend in Sriram who migrated to Saudi Arabia. Surya comes to know that his friend has been awarded death sentence for a crime he has not committed. His lover Vaishnavi accidentally falls from rooftop, but Sriram is falsely implicated in the case. Surya does not believe it and goes to Saudi Arabia to save his friend. How he saves his friend forms the rest of the story. As usual Ravi Teja is best in comedy and action sequences, but fails to lift the weak story. Deeksha has nothing much to do. Pradeep Rawat and Mukul Dev's performance are on expected lines, however, Brahmanandam excels in a few comedy sequences. Talented artists like Rajendra Prasad and Sriram have little opportunities in the film. Thaman's music is also ordinary, but camera work is good. Verdict: Disappointing ![]()
‘Lonely’ Clooney feels sleepless Posted: 19 Feb 2012 04:46 AM PST Actor George Clooney says he feels "lonely" while attending public events and says he goes through "a very tough time" sleeping. "Turning off the television causes me to think, and once I start that vision roaring, I have a very tough time getting to sleep. I'm able to numb out. Without question, I wake every night five times," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Clooney as saying. "Anyone would be lying if they said they didn't get lonely at times. The loneliest you will get is in the most public of arenas - You will go to a place and end up in the smallest compartment possible, because it's a distraction to everybody, and you end up not getting to enjoy it like everyone else," he added.
