I may try my luck with Amy yet again: Prateik

Prateik is all set to spend his Valentine's Day with his co-star Amy Jackson to promote his forthcoming film "Ek Deewana Tha", which will see the young actor in a romantic hero's role for the first time, and is also planning to try his luck with his co-star yet again.

"I think the only plan that has been given to me is to promote my film. So, I am working but lucky, I am working with a pretty girl," Prateik said that: "Yes, since we are together on Valentine's Day, maybe I can try my luck once again."

There has been speculation about Prateik and Amy's off-screen relationship but the former said: "We are extremely close and fond of each other but we are not in a relationship."

Written and directed by Gautham Menon, the film "Ek Deewana Tha" is a Hindi remake of the filmmaker's Tamil movie "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa". The film is scheduled for a Feb 17 release.

The two first met on the sets of "Ek Deewana Tha" and it was Amy who broke the ice in their first meeting.

"First meeting was awkward. I am a shy guy when it comes to meeting anyone. I take time to open up. She is like all you girls, so talkative and she broke the ice," he said.

Not a perfect mom yet: Kiran Rao

Filmmaker Kiran Rao, who became a mother to son Azaad last year in December, says she is not a perfect mother yet but is enjoying motherhood.

"I don't think I am perfect, but I certainly try and it's such a joy. I think every mother does what is best for her child because it's such a joy and a daily learning experience. So, I am enjoying it thoroughly. I don't think I could have asked for more," the 38-year-old said here at the launch of painter Sangeeta Gupta's exhibition.

Kiran made her directorial debut with "Dhobi Ghat" last year and the film won a lot of critical acclaim.

Talking about her professional ventures, Kiran said she is keen to open an art-house cinema where film lovers can enjoy off-beat movies.

"It's a dream of mine. I have always wanted to have a cultural centre where people can sort of have a community of artists and like-minded people sharing their work. Basically, I have always wanted to have an art-house cinema. A cinema where we can show films that are not necessarily the current offerings on circuit and films that are not commercial," said Kiran.

Currently Kiran is away from work, but confirms that she will start working on a script soon.

Clooney gets challenged for wrestling match

Actor George Clooney has been challenged for a wrestling match by Muppet character Miss Piggy at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards 2012.

The outspoken puppet star of the movie "The Muppets" is the official red carpet host of the film awards, and is looking forward to the possibility of meeting "The Descendants" star, who is dating former WWE wrestler Stacey Kleiber.

"I don't wrestle girlfriends. However, if George wants to wrestle, bring it on! Best two out of three falls? Winner gets a dinner?" contactmusic.com quoted Miss Piggy as saying.

The BAFTA Awards will take place at the Royal Opera House Feb 12.

UTV denies buying Dabangg 2 rights

UTV Motion Pictures has shot down reports that it has bought the rights of Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer "Dabangg 2″.

Rumours were abuzz that UTV had purchased the rights of the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster "Dabangg" for a whopping Rs.140 crore.

UTV officials have put all speculation at rest by releasing a statement.

"There have been irresponsible reports in certain sections of the media that UTV has bought the rights for 'Dabangg 2′ for Rs.140 crore, despite us clearly denying this," an official statement from UTV Motion Pictures.

"We would like to clarify that UTV has not purchased the rights of the movie in question. We have been very open about announcing our new projects and communicated them to the media and will continue to do so. We hope this puts all speculations to rest," the statement further said.

The original "Dabangg" was directed by Abhinav Kashyap. Filmmaker Arbaaz Khan would be wielding the megaphone for the sequel. It is slated for release this year end.
