Vijay allots call sheet for Santosh Sivan?

vijay-santosh-sivan-25-02-12Vijay is playing the lead role in Thuppaki, directed by AR Murugadoss. Wielding the camera for this film is ace cinematographer-cum-director Santosh Sivan. Santosh has not only wielded the camera for several films but has also directed some films including Urumi and Asoka.
Sources say that Vijay is awed by Santosh's impressive lineup of work and has asked him to create a script for him. It is said that Vijay's project with Santosh Sivan may commence after he completes Thuppaki and Gautham Menon's Yohan Adhyayam Ondru.

THUPPAKKI UPDATES, THUPPAKKI PROGRESS

vijay-thuppaki-25-02-12Vijay starrer Thuppaki's progress has slowed down over the last few days owing to the FEFSI strike. Though the shooting is stalled, AR Murugadoss must be pleased with music director Harris Jayaraj as he has recorded a song sung by Krish.
There are also reports that AR Murugadoss is intending to shoot the film in Mumbai entirely. His earlier plan was to shoot only a part of the film there but with the FEFSI strike on, he is exploring the possibilities of shooting in Mumbai.
It may be mentioned here that Vijay reportedly plays an encounter specialist in the film
