‘Nanban’, the First Film to get Tax Exemption!

NanbanThe previous DMK Government was granting Tax exemption to all Tamil films that had titles in Tamil. After the announcement of this concession almost all the Tamil films were benefited with having Tamil titles. But, after assuming office the new Government under Chief Minister Jayalalithaa brought amendments to the previous Government's order and announced that only 'U' Certified films having Tamil names will be given the Tax exemption and it was also implemented.
