Kamal Hassan is putting all his best to wrap up his magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam' as early as possible with continuous shooting schedule at various locations in India and abroad. The legendary filmmaker just completed his schedule in Jordan and working out for his next schedule.
For this Pongal festival only two Tamil films are having its big release and they are Shankar directed Vijay's 'Nanban' and Linguswamy's 'Vettai'.
'Vijayanagaram' is a new Tamil film that has a new story that is told with a big social message. The story tells about 'Vijayanagaram', a place where educationist start liquor business and the liquor barons start running schools.
She was once ruling the roost as one of the top heroines of Tamil cinema. All of a sudden the tall and gigantic lady of south industry saw a downward trend that she started losing films in all the industries of south, especially Kollywood.
When Anushka could not accept the offers of the makers of 'Kochadaiyaan' to do the role of the leading lady the names of Asin and Vidya Balan made big rounds and Asin's was the big choice of the big names of the film.
Writer-director and actor Bhagyaraj is shouldering a new film 'Oru Sol' with a character as himself – as actor-director – that tells the story about a village that proves prosperity could be brought to the village through the occupation of agriculture. The film emphasizes that this occupation should be recognized as an industry and the farmers should be paid a regular monthly salary for the betterment of their lives and the industry.
