Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Don 2' which is directed by Farhan Akhtar had seen an excellent opening weekend.

The film has seen a big jump in business on Sunday due to Christmas day holiday. The business of the film has been best in places like Mumbai, Delhi, CP, CI and Kolkata.

Friday – Rs. 15.30 crore nett (Hindi – Rs. 14.77 crore, Telugu – Rs. 43 lakhs & Tamil – Rs. 10 lakhs), Saturday – Rs. 15.09 nett (Hindi – Rs. 14.69 crore, Telugu – Rs. 30 lakhs & Tamil – Rs. 10 lakhs) and Sunday – Rs. 18.13 crore nett (Hindi – Rs. 17.54 crore, Telugu – Rs. 33 lakhs & Tamil – Rs. 26 lakhs).

'Don 2' has totally collected Rs. 48.83 crore nett in 3 days.

No time to enjoy the success, says busy Priyanka

"Don 2: The King Is Back" opened to a positive response but Priyanka Chopra, who plays 'jungli billi' in it, rues that actors' busy schedules do not allow them to enjoy the success of their films.

"As actors, we really don't get time to sit and enjoy the appreciation we get. You have to move on. Now my next film 'Agneepath' is releasing. I am shooting for 'Barfee' and Kunal Kohli's next. So, it's a never ending cycle. I am happy that I have a never ending cycle," the 29-year-old actress said here at the Mega Platinum Ceremony of the Bramhakumaris.

In "Don 2″ Priyanka has teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan again and plays a police officer who is trying the nab the don.

The former beauty queen, who picked up the Filmfare Award for the best newcomer for "Andaz" in 2003, says she prepares well for each of her characters.

"I am the kind of actor who prepares a lot for roles. It's very important for me to make sure that my characters are really real so, I do a lot of preparation," said the actress who has done varied roles in eight years.

In the early stage of her career, Priyanka did a negative role in 2004 release "Aitraaz" and bagged another Filmfare Award for the best performance in a negative role.

However, the biggest hig came with "Fashion" in 2008 when she walked away with the National Award for the best actress for portraying the high and lows in a model's life.

Besides "Agneepath" and "Barfee", Priyanka is working in Kunal Kohli's "Teri Meri Kahaani" and "Krrish 2″.

‘Chikni Chameli’ was not my style: Katrina

Katrina Kaif is garnering a lot of praise for gyrating to item number "Chikni Chameli" in Karan Johar's forthcoming film "Agneepath", but the actress says the "lavni" style dancing was not a cakewalk for her.

"The response to 'Chikni Chameli' has been fun so far. It was hard work. It was very fast and it was not a style I was used to, but I took it as a challenge…I think we all went for it as a team and did the best we could. I am happy people are liking it," the 27-year-old actress said here while launching new range of Panasonic airconditioners.

Even actor Salman Khan is smitten by the song and Katrina is happy about this.

"He has not told that to me but I think that's a great thing. He has a great taste in music and songs. So, if he likes it then it's great," said Katrina who featured in two more item numbers in "Shiela ki jawani" and "Bodyguard".

New Year is round the corner and Katrina is pleased with the way 2011 shaped up for her.

"2011 has been a really great year for me. All the goals I had in hand, I think everything turned out really well. I am very grateful for that…The best I could have wanted to come out of every project has come true this year," said Katrina who had two releases this year - "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" and "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan".

Katrina has some plum projects in her kitty — she is working on "Ek Tha Tiger" with Salman, "Dhoom 3″ and Yash Chopra's untitled new venture which is expected to feature Shah Rukh Khan.

Anirudh Ravichander next film, K.S Ravikumar goes to Bollywood, K.S Ravikumar remaking Saamy in Hindi, 3 music director Anirudh Ravichander next film, Anirudh in K.S Ravikumar's Bollywood film, 



The director K.S Ravikumar who successfully completed 20 years in South is now going to Bollywood. KSR will soon be remake the Tamil super hit film 'Saamy'.

Latest buzz is that the high riding composer Anirudh Ravichander of "Kolaveri Di" song is going to score music for the film.

KSR says that "He will be directing his first Hindi film with Sanjay Dutt in lead role and it will be remake of Vikram starrer 'Saamy'. He is also plans to cast Amitabh Bachchan in an important role, but they are yet to approach him."

He adds that "He is in talks with Anirudh to score music for the film. We had an informal chat about this film, but nothing has been finalized yet."

The Hindi flicks will go on floors in April 2012.
