By now all the Vijay fans must be waiting for their favourite actors upcoming movie Nanban in which Vijay has shared screen space withJeeva and Srikanth. As reported earlier, it was supposed to hit screens as Diwali bonanza. But now Kollywood sources confirm that the makers of the movie have decided to release it for Pongal in 2012. Though there were a lot of speculations that the movie would hit the screens on Diwali, later it was said that the filmmakers are keen in releasing the movie in the month of january , as a treat for pongal.

Well now, according to latest news, the movie's director Shankar, is eyeing for a Pongal slot. Known to all that the movie Nanban , produced by Geminie Film Circuit is a first remake movie of director Shankar. Ileana portrays the lady lead role in the movie while Sathyaraj, SJ Suryah are donning the other prominent roles. Stay tuned to know about the exact release date of the movie shortly.

Vijay Next Movie Titled as Thuppakki

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next movie with Director AR Murugadoss has been titled as Thuppakki. Thuppakki will be produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu and he also officially confirmed that the title the film will be Thuppakki.

Kajal Agarwal will play the female lead role in the movie while music will be scored by Harris Jayaraj and Cinematography by Santhosh Sivan.

Producer Kalaipulu Dhanu stated that "Thupakki is confirmed as the title in Tamil and it has tremendous title value and we have registered the title. The other details regarding the cast and crew will be announced officially early next week."

The actress has just begun shooting for director A R Murugadoss's Thuppaki and she's super excited

Kajal Aggarwal thinks that her new Tamil signing is one of the best things that could happen to her. The actress has just begun work on Thuppaki, which is A R Murugadoss's latest film, which will have her starring opposite Ilayathalapathy Vijay.

"It is my biggest film. I have always wanted to work with Murugadoss sir and Vijay. Now I get to be part of their first film together. What more could I ask for," gushes Kajal, who knows that she's bagged what was one of the most sought-after project by most heroines.

And she believes that the role she's playing in this film is tailor-made for her. "While it is a typical commercial entertainer, my role is just like who I am in real life. She's full of masti and completely bindaas. This is a very powerful role too, like all of Murugadoss sir's heroine's characters," says the actress, who began shooting for Thuppaki on Friday in Mumbai.

"It was a very nice feeling to be on the sets of the film. Murugadoss sir and Vijay made me feel at ease," says Kajal, who will be back in Chennai later this month. "This time, I will be coming to finish my work on the film with Suriya and K V Anand," she signs off.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay, AR Murugadoss starrer titled Thuppaki will commence its regular shoot of the film from December. Now, the latest buzz in the Kollywood is that Vijay might essay a cop role in the film. If sources are true this will be second film for the star to don the police cap after the super hit Pokkiri. Vijay might be seen as crime branch cop. Thuppaki has a strong technical team with Santosh Sivan taking charge of the camera, Harris Jayraj scoring the tunes, Jayamohan penning the dialogues. Kajal Agarwal will play Vijay's love interest in the film.
